Greater self-confidence can best describe what you will experience with your four year old child. At four, a child is more self-reliant. It is important at this age, if for no other reason, the child is preparing for the school years. Their language skills are expanding rapidly and they began to show more sympathy toward others. They have increased dexterity in the everyday tasks like walking, jumping, climbing and hopping, as well as the smaller tasks like holding a pencil. A 4 year old loves to dance, and take a more imaginative role in dramatic play. Most of our 4 year olds already attend our VPK program, but whether they are in our program, or another, or even getting prepared for next year’s pre-K, we are always working to get them ready for their school years
